The Employment Law team at Ogier Leman knows that prevention is better than cure. We work with our clients on identifying weaknesses and areas for improvement in how they manage their employment law compliance. • Advising on all aspects of employment law compliance including carrying out of audits and preparation of clients for potential audits and inspections to include:

  • Data protection compliance
  • Health and safety compliance
  • Fitness & Probity compliance
• Reviewing and auditing of staff handbooks, contracts and policies to ensure best practice and to reduce risk in respect of HR and employment law issues

• The team was recently appointed as an employment compliance auditor for a large utility company to report on compliance with company employment standards for contractors
• The team provides bespoke HR team employment law training sessions to the senior HR team of several large companies
• The team advises a number of multi-national corporations on the employment issues arising in relation to their establishment in Ireland to ensure legal compliance and best practice
• The team has advised several large clients in respect of NERA inspections and compliance issues
• The team regularly carries out audits of clients contracts, handbooks and HR systems to ensure compliance with Irish employment law and preparation for inspections
• The team regularly advises employer clients on data protection compliance and handling data access requests

Clients of the team include several multinationals with operations across Europe, the US, Canada and Asia ranging from employers in the technology and recruitment sectors as well as financial institutions, insurance companies, ICT companies, sports bodies, retailers, pharma companies, hospitality providers and a variety of small to medium businesses
