Mary joined Ogier Leman as a Senior Associate in our Employment and Corporate Immigration team. She has significant experience advising on all aspects of employment law and is qualified to practice in both Ireland and Northern Ireland. Mary advises individuals and employers across the public, private and third sectors on workplace issues. She has also advised trade unions in the finance, education, and higher education sectors on various employment law matters impacting members.
Mary deals with contentious and non-contentious employment issues which can occur prior, during and after employment. She provides clients with commercially focussed advice regarding contracts and policies, complex employee relations issues, equality matters, disciplinary actions, dismissals, redundancies, reorganisations, and employment related disputes. Mary offers responsive and strategic advice to address issues as and when they occur. She has represented clients before the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court and High Court and has amassed considerable experience in employment related civil litigation including injunctive relief and judicial review applications. Mary has also advised extensively in respect of professional regulation. A graduate of University College Dublin, Mary also has a masters from Queens’ University Belfast and a diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
