Temporary Employees Checklist

Linda Hynes, employment law solicitor with Ogier Leman has agreed to write a monthly feature for Legal-Island email subscribers providing handy precedents and checklists for subscribers to download and use. This month’s topic focuses on temporary employees.

The use of temporary resources can be really useful for employers when the nature and amount of work available is uncertain but managing temporary resources can be a legal minefield. To assist employers and HR managers, Linda has prepared a checklist which should be consulted any time an employer is taking on new temporary employees or renewing temporary contracts.

The checklist also includes draft clauses which can be used in temporary employee contracts.
