Ogier Leman are delighted to announce that we have again been officially recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Ireland for 2022. The Leman Great Place to Work committee virtually attended the 20th annual ‘Great Place to Work Best Workplaces in Ireland’ awards on Wednesday 23 March, 2022.
This is our fifth year to be named as a top Irish workplace in the Best Small Workplace category, which is assessed through Great Place to Work’s robust ‘Trust Index©’ employee survey and a thorough ‘Culture Audit©’ assessment of their policies and practices. Ogier Leman were recognised as the 20th Best Small Workplace in Ireland for 2022.
Managing Partner John Hogan commented on the awards saying: “In a very difficult year coming through the pandemic waves, our team supported each other and came together like never before – a combination of lots of small gestures, regular communication and positive support and honest feedback from our whole team has helped us all weather a very challenging year. Congratulations to our Great Place to Work committee and all the other nominees and winners as we strive to work harder each year on the GPTW journey.”
“In a year that looked like a second edition of the previous one, putting people at the center of organisations’ strategies has been more challenging than ever,” said Cathal Divilly, CEO of Great Place to Work® Ireland.
“More than keeping the businesses economically on track, companies have faced numerous changes in health restrictions that have constantly required flexibility, adaptation, and resilience. Coping with digital fatigue and mental health difficulties among the teams has been an extra concern for leadership teams,” Divilly added.
“Ireland’s Best Workplaces can be very proud of their achievement in this particular year and have shown once again that working on the basics and with committed leadership dialed in on improving their culture will reap rewards when it comes to talent attraction and retention.”
About Great Place to Work® and the Assessment Process
Great Place to Work Ireland is part of a global network of culture consultants, with offices in 48 countries using an established methodology to publish lists at country, regional, and global levels. The best known of these is the Fortune 100 list of Best Companies to Work For in the United States. Our media partner in Ireland is The Irish Times, who develop the annual Best Workplaces Special Report.
The key defining feature of a great workplace is the level of trust that exists within it. From an employee’s viewpoint, the definition of a great workplace is one where you trust the people you work with, you have great pride in what you do, and you enjoy the people you work with. The Great Place to Work Institute assesses the policies and practices in place in organisations under nine key areas: Inspiring, Speaking, Listening, Caring, Developing, Thanking, Hiring, Celebrating, and Sharing. They then benchmark these practices against other organisations in that country. The second key component of the assessment is an anonymous Trust Index survey that gathers the perceptions of employees under five dimensions: Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride, and Camaraderie. Finally, there is an in-depth qualitative analysis of open-ended comments from employees.
