An Post Rebrand
It’s Christmas time, and that means the posties of Ireland are up the walls. I know, because my cousin Michael is a postman (Hi Michael).
But I digress.
Presumably January is a slow enough month. What better time then, to ring in the new year with a brand spanking new logo and re-brand.
So it’s bye bye to this:
And hello to this:
What Is That?
Well, I’m speculating, but I’d say it’s the new logo for ‘An Post’.
What I can tell you for sure is that it’s a trademark that An Post filed with the Irish Patents Office on 14 December, 2018.
I know, I know, you’re not sure if you like it, right??
I often wonder about the logic of a re-brand. I mean, how much money is it going to cost to re-brand every post office, van, truck, website, post box? And what’s the upside? But then maybe that’s why I’m a lawyer and not a marketer*
